The annual maintenance days got off to a fantastic start, with 18 Club members turning out for the 1st of the days on Sunday 12th March 2023.
Lots of work was carried out by club members, who are taking pride in our club house. One team dropped the club mast to carry out a repair, another team started work on the decking for the patio and in the club house, the old kitchen fridge was replaced as well as cleaning, dusting and polishing. If you stood still for any amount of time you would have had a nice coat of Mr Sheen and a quick polish.
I must not forget the ladies in the kitchen, who kept us fed and watered along with the other tasks they were doing, thank you for your support.
We also had a club member who gave the toilet a quick lick of paint to freshen it up. Not forgetting the two club members who were out in the container giving it a spring clean and some essential maintenance.
Our Commodore took a BBC Essex Radio team for a walk through the club, giving an interview and a history lesson of the club, all on live radio. Well done Commodore.
Once again a big thank you to all the members who turned up.
