On Sunday 23rd October 2022 the NFYC winter series race No 2 got under way, 5 yachts on the start line, Blue Streak, Flyer, Burgler, Shamir & Menhic. The weather forecasts were for strong winds, gusting over 28kt with heavy rain and thunder storms.
This didn’t quite match the 4-6kts we received with Menhic having to retire leaving 4 yachts to drift along the river. When the wind gave up totally, the heavy rain started, all yachts getting a free wash, care of mother nature. Flyer & Burgler making good use of their spinnakers with flyer taking line honours
